Lava Glass was founded in 2002 by award-winning master glass artist Lynden Over and his wife Christine Robb. The complex comprises an art glass gallery, a glassblowing studio, a glass art sculpture garden and a gourmet cafe. Lava Glass is the perfect spot to watch glassblowing, browse the adjoining gallery of collectable glass art and take a stroll through a beautiful glass sculpture garden. All glass art displayed in the Lava Glass Gallery is made on-site and inspired by the dramatic landscape of New Zealand. It is also available for sale online on our website.
