New Zealand - View of Glenfield School
- Looking towards Glenfield School from the Glenfield War Memorial Hall. Glenfield Road curves around to the right. The house on the left is Ferguson's Post Office.
Historical note: Over the years three little stores popped up along Glenfield Road. In the 1920's Mr and Mrs Ferguson purchased from the Chandler family, a vacant house which had once included a small store. At that time the main route north continued up and over the Domain Hill and the premises situated on the curve at the foot of the hill happened to be an ideal location to re-commence business. For several years Mrs Ferguson sold groceries, stationery and small goods. She ran the post office depot from the shop which was the front room of their home.
