Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Rotorua
- QE was the 'Services Convalescent Hospital'
- Opened in 1942
- Provided rehabilitation to soldiers returning from World War II.
- Renamed the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in 1948
- Began to specialise in the treatment of rheumatic disease.
- Today Known as QE Health.

Arawa House
- Located on the corner of Arawa & Amohia Streets
- Originally built as a Parsonage for Vicar c1889/1890
- Sold and became a guesthouse until 1940
- Put up for auction in 1940
- Converted to a Nurses Home after 1940
- Nurses from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital lived here until 1954
- The Waikato Hospital Board bought it in 1959
- Used it as a nurses home for the Rotorua Hospital
- Waiariki Community College rent a section of it for their nursing college in 1984
- Owned by the Waikato Hospital Board by 1986
- Then sold to a developer
- The original Arawa House demolished by September 1986.
