New Zealand - Erosion of Cliff
- The rapid erosion of the cliff at Woolcombe Terrace, New Plymouth, is endangering several houses and may soon menace the main railway line. Where once there was a wide field leading to the sea-front, there is now a cliff nearly 100 feet high at the back doors of several homes and touching the edge of a street. Alarmed residents have appealed to the Borough Council to take urgent steps to prevent further inroads by the sea.
