New Zealand - Cars on the new Haast Road, Westland
- Cars on a partially competed section of the Haast Pass highway. The road is unsealed and on the right hand side of the image can be seen a section of ridge partly cut away. There is much loose spoil and rock on the down hill slope from the road and some native forest can be seen.

Haast
- A small town in the Westland District territorial authority on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island
- The Haast region covers over 2,500 square kilometres (970 sq mi).
- The region is named after Julius von Haast, a Prussian-born geologist instrumental in the early geological surveys of New Zealand.
- The main economic activities in the Haast region are farming, fishing and tourism.
