New Zealand - Takapuna - Takapuna School Photo 1951 - Standard 5 - Image #601737 - Mourant Family Archive - Takapuna Primary School opened in 1879 and celebrated its 125th reunion on November 6th, 2004. A tangible link to the schools rich history, the Memorial Gates at the Anzac Street entrance, honour those who served in the Great War of 1914 – 1918. In 2015 we held a rededication ceremony of the Memorial Gates as part of the 100th anniversary of Anzac Day and every year we continue the tradition of students and staff proudly taking part in the Takapuna Anzac Parade.
